DTF stands for "direct-to-film." Your design is printed onto a special film with a heat-activated adhesive backing. You place the film on your garment, press it with heat, and peel — the design bonds permanently to the fabric. No weeding, no cutting, full color.

Cotton, polyester, poly-cotton blends, canvas, denim, tote bags, and more — light or dark fabrics. Best results on flat, pressable surfaces.

No. Unlike vinyl, our transfers come ready to press. There's nothing to pick or cut away.

A PNG with a transparent background, 300 DPI, sized to how large you want it printed. If your file has a solid white background instead of a transparent one, that white will print.

Email support@hexcolorprints.com as soon as possible. We print the next business day, so we can usually make changes if you reach us the same day you order. Once it's printed, we can't change it.

Very close, but not always exact. Screens show color with light, printers with ink, so there's slight variation. Bright neons and some blues are the hardest to match perfectly.

A heat press gives the most consistent results, but a household iron works if you follow the iron steps on our How to Press page.

Once. Each transfer is single-use.

Turn inside out, machine wash cold, mild detergent (no bleach, no fabric softener), tumble dry low or hang. Never iron directly on the design. Wait 24 hours after pressing before the first wash.

We print your order the next business day and ship within 1–2 business days after that, via USPS with tracking.
